President Maduro demands UN Secretary to rectify over Essequibo

Following the statements by the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, about the Essequibo, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that Venezuela sent a letter to the official in order to demand “the rectification of the errors committed that affect the sovereignty of the Bolivarian nation.”

It should be noted that the head of state has ratified that Venezuela does not acknowledge the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as a body to resolve this controversy, and insisted on the Secretary General, António Guterres, to “establish a process of direct dialogue between the two nations,” he concluded.
