Bolivarian Government denounces new US interventionist maneuver against Venezuela

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, denounced this Thursday the launching of a new interventionist maneuver by the Government of the United States (USA) regarding the elections of deputies to the National Assembly (AN) to be held in the nation this 2020.

From the spaces of the Chancellory, in the Casa Amarilla in Caracas, the head of the Foreign Office of Venezuela announced to the press a diplomatic note signed by the United States government and which circulated last December 17, which evidences the insistence of the US administration in forcing the ousting of the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro.

“The statement sent by the US mentions that it is necessary to seek a transitional Government, by supporting the National Assembly and economically pressing the Government of Nicolás Maduro”, said Arreaza.

Given this new destabilization plan, the Venezuelan diplomat said that this year “there will be parliamentary elections under the sovereign law of Venezuela, not on what other countries want to impose” and reiterated the commitment of the Venezuelan State to continue demonstrating the not only illegal, but also criminal nature of the blockages and unilateral coercive measures of the United States Government against the Venezuelan people.

In his speech, Arreaza recalled that these coercive measures are considered crimes against humanity, even more when the United States has not given resources for the plan made by the United Nations Organization (UN) to attend Venezuela, while allocating millions of dollars for the Venezuelan right wing to destabilize the country.
