Venezuela disowns parallel mechanisms promoted by interventionist governments

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterated on Tuesday its willingness to dialogue with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations (UN), as well as indicating that it will disown all the parallel mechanisms, promoted by interfering governments, that may threaten the democratic institutions of the country.

Through a communiqué – published by the Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza -, Venezuela stated that “it will oppose any form of intervention in its internal affairs, under the pretext of a cynical concern for human rights in the country, much more if they intend to do so through the infamous Mission Dependent on unspeakable interests, which it has already demonstrated with you grow their biased and biased political position, as well as their claim to lay the foundations for an intervention against the people of Venezuela”.

Earlier, the UN Human Rights Council approved two resolutions: one that is to strengthen the cooperation and assistance of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Venezuela, and another in which it was “extended” by two years the presence of the “Fact-Finding Mission for Venezuela”, which responds to governments subordinate to the United States.

Communiqué

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informs the national and international community that the Resolution “Strengthening cooperation and technical assistance in the field of Human Rights in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela” was approved today at the 45th Session of the Council of Human Rights of the United Nations.

The approved resolution evidences the commitment of the Venezuelan State to maintain respectful and constructive dialogue and cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, with the aim of further strengthening the guarantee system of social protection and Human Rights in Venezuela.

Likewise, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically ratifies that it does not acknowledge, nor will acknowledge, any parallel and unnecessary mechanisms promoted by a group of governments with a history of interference, created to instrumentalize human rights policy against Venezuelan constitutional institutions.

Manipulating in a biased and ideological way a matter as sacred as human rights and trying to turn it into a political weapon and thus create conditions for a strategy of regime change, is already predictable, typical and systematic behavior of Washington and its satellite governments.

In this sense, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates that it will oppose any form of intervention in its internal affairs, under the pretext of a cynical concern for human rights in the country, much more if they intend to do so through the infamous Mission Dependent on Interests unspeakable, which has already more than demonstrated its biased and biased political position, as well as its claim to lay the foundations for an intervention against the people of Venezuela[.
