The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported that the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, held a meeting with his counterpart from Suriname, to discuss the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), in which he also presented the 6th “T” of the 7 transformations plan:
Along these lines, during the edition of “Maduro Live De Repente” (Maduro Live – Suddenly), he emphasized that the sixth transformation is based on ecology and its main objective is to combat the climate crisis, raise awareness and protect the people from the environmental impact, as well as safeguard the Amazon and all natural reserves from the voracity of predatory capitalism:
“The Amazon is ours, it is South American and we have to continue defending and protecting it. The Great Lung that guarantees the ecological balance of the world,» emphasized the President of the Nation.
Likewise, the head of State noted that among the countries that were present at this meeting, there are Guyana, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, among others; nations that are in the defense of human existence, which is guaranteed with the protection of the Amazon lung.
The Venezuelan Chancellor addressed, in this meeting, the issue of regional cooperation in favor of the conservation and sustainable development of the Amazon, which is a vital resource for humanity, reason for which, Venezuela explained that this sixth “T” of the Homeland Plan of the 7 Transformations, is the principle that drives the Venezuelan nation to reorganize production, with the objective of effectively facing the climate crisis.
