The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced on Tuesday the fascist actions by Juan Guaidó, together with the Bank of England administration for illegally withholding 31 tons of gold belonging to the homeland, this being an action looting to strip Venezuela of its assets.
During statements offered at Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez asserted that President Nicolás Maduro requested an investigation to be initiated by the Venezuelan judicial organs in order to recover these important resources from the Republic:
“This Thursday there will be a hearing in the English courts. We expect the greater adherence of these courts to legality and that they be consistent with the historical jurisprudential tradition of this country. We hope that the laws of international financial markets will be respected where the Bank of England can only act as a custodian and can never, ever lend itself to partake in schemes of this nature with the purpose of overthrowing a constitutional government, which is what is happening”, urged Delcy Rodríguez.
Likewise, she informed that the Bolivarian Government will take to the International Criminal Court (ICC) those who from the Bank of England are part of this destabilizing action of the Venezuelan people in order to appropriate the resources of the people:
“We will take to the International Criminal Court those who, from the Bank of England, are part of this scheme to dispossess Venezuelan gold. We will exercise all the corresponding actions for the defense of Venezuela’s international reserves, so that the Sovereign Immunity Law on them is respected and so that the jurisdictional sovereignty of Venezuela is respected”, she said.
In this sense, the Executive Vice President refuted the false interpretation that the Bank of England intends to make against the country, in order to govern lines and instructions without respecting the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela:
“The Bank of England also aims now to be the rector of the laws in Venezuela. No sir! what you are is a depositary, and what you do is save gold. Limit yourself to your task and carry out the orders of your client, which is the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and not a gang of criminals, who are the ones who every day delay the court’s decision, and who are responsible for any deceased of COVID-19 in Venezuela”, she said.
Likewise, Delcy Rodríguez explained that these actions consist a crime of extermination and against humanity, that fall within the statute of Rome to be brought to the International Criminal Court.
“The President of the Republic has asked us to alert the Venezuelan people to this situation that seeks to dispossess our people and to steal the assets of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and about which both the Central Bank of Venezuela and all bodies of the Venezuelan State are acting accordingly”, she emphasized.
