Venezuela sums 167 coronavirus cases and nine deaths

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that up to this Wednesday were registered 167 cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and nine deaths, after confirming a new infection and two new deaths.

During a meeting with the Presidential Commission for the Prevention of Covid-19, the Venezuelan head of state explained that the two deceased persons were two men, one 58 years old and the other 63 years old.

Moreover, the new Covid-19 case was registered in the Valles del Tuy, Miranda state; in a 27-year-old young man, a nurse who was in charge of caring for people who enter with symptoms of coronavirus. In this sense, he urged the authorities to take care of health professionals.

The national president highlighted the discipline and awareness of the Venezuelan population, which has remained firm during the national, social and collective quarantine, decreed on March 16 by the National Executive to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
