Venezuela elected to chair the Unesco International Culture Fund

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was elected to chair the Work Group of the International Fund for the Diversity of Culture of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The information was spread through the Twitter account @delevenezunesco, which details that “in recognition of Venezuelan work deployed in the International Fund for the Promotion of Culture, Ambassador Hector Constant was elected by acclamation as the new Chairman of the Work Group that seeks to revitalize it. Venezuela continues to reap its Cultural Diplomacy!”

The International Fund for Cultural Diversity supports the application of the convention and encourages the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector in developing countries.
