Maduro presented to CNE electoral bases for Constituent Assembly


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, presented this Tuesday before the National Electoral Council (CNE) the proposal of committees that will govern the elections of those who will form the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), accompanied by the People’s Power, Social movements and the workers who mobilized in favor of peace.

The Head of State assured that before the escalation of violence of the right assumed “The responsibility to activate the only way to summon the sovereignty … and to lay bases to consolidate the peace of the Republic”.

“I leave here set the electoral bases so there can be postulated thousands of people from Venezuela and for the people to be the one who elects the 540 constituents by secret and universal vote,” he added.

He added that it is “an internal aggression of political factors that believe that with violence they will create conditions for an assault on political power, accompanied by an intervention led by the United States and some right-wing governments that have dreamed of governing Venezuela, such as Colombia “.

The National Head of State expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims of the violent and terrorist acts perpetrated by armed groups financed by the extreme right wing
