Rejected illegal actions of Juan Guaidó against Telesur

Various personalities of the political environment and the media have rejected the comments made by the deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Juan Guaidó, of attempting to initiate an illegal juridical reorganization on the Telesur informative television channel, and this way to put it at the service of his cause against the government and stability of Venezuela:

«Threats in social networks to a media outlet, curiously from those who boast of defending freedom of expression. Journalists, unions, institutions, states, take note», wrote the president of the TV station, Patricia Villegas, in rejection of the publication of Guaidó.

Against the comment that Telesur «promotes regional destabilization», Villegas reacted and dismantled the lies of the right-wing parliamentarian, and clarified that «the deputy speaks of what he does not know and clearly does not understand. His thing is the photos on the border with the Rastrojos, and jumping gates. We keep going on!».

Likewise, the president of the National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, said that “since its creation, Telesur has become the obligatory reference of the informative balance of what is happening in America, those who have never built anything today want to destroy it, they have not been able to, nor will they, how great Hugo Chavez was by founding it».

«Telesur is the voice of the people, of those who never had a space in the great communication corporations. Juan Guaidó’s desire is to have a communication media for drug traffickers, paramilitaries, thieves and criminal gangs», said on Twitter the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.

Colombian activist Piedad Córdoba also spoke about this, and stressed that Telesur «is the channel of just causes».

On Twitter, Guaidó said he intends to «start a process of juridical reorganization of Telesur», for which he said he will create a commission that will assume the task of «coordinating with allies of the region the process of signal replacement».

Subsequently, thousands of users of the social network in Venezuela and the world positioned the #VivaTelesur label, which is currently a trend, in rejection of the action of the opposition deputy, who intends to destabilize Venezuela with illegal actions.

Telesur is a news television channel, with headquarters in Caracas, Venezuela. It was founded in January 2005 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry for Communication and Information of Venezuela, and began broadcasting on July 24, 2005.

This media outlet covers Latin America and the world, to show the truth about daily events. In addition, it promotes the struggle of peoples for peace, self-determination, respect for Human Rights and social justice.
