The executive vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the beginning of her official visit to India through a message on her account on the Twitter social network.
Rodriguez heads a delegation that will participate in the Second Assembly of the International Solar Alliance, and will fulfill a bi-national cooperation agenda.
With the participation of the Minister for Economy and Finances, Simón Zerpa, among other authorities, the Venezuelan delegation plans to meet with representatives of the government of India and spokespersons from different social sectors.
The International Solar Alliance is a group of 121 countries rich in solar resources. Its headquarters are located in Gurugram, India, and it aims to facilitate and accelerate the large-scale deployment of solar energy in developing countries, in order to meet the growing demand for energy and thus help combat climate change.
