On Thursday, November 25, five years after the sowing of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, honored his memory and legacy of struggle which remain in force in the peoples of the world who defend the cause of the oppressed.
In a message posted on his account on the Twitter social network @nicolasmaduro, the Venezuelan president showed a video that summarizes the ideas and legacy of the fundamental leader of the Cuban Revolution.
In this message, President Maduro recalled that the Venezuelan people bear in mind every battle and victory of the leader of the Cuban Revolution:
«A transcendental and unshakable hero who knew how to guide the Cuban people amidst the difficulties, to defend the dignity and sovereignty of all”, declared the Head of State, who expressed that Fidel Castro was a man of ideas who taught the peoples not to bow down when it comes to defending the cause of the oppressed.

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, known as Commander Fidel Castro, was a Cuban lawyer, a military man, a politician and a revolutionary. He was president of his country as Prime Minister (1959-1976) and President (1976-2008) after his victory in the Cuban Revolution against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
