President Maduro inspects preparations for the Soberanía 2019 Military Exercise

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inspected on Tuesday the preparations for the Soberanía 2018 (Sovereignty 2019) Military Exercise.
Accompanied by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, and members of the Superior General Staff, the President made an appearance at the General Post of the Operational Strategic Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB):
“We are fine-tuning the guidelines of the Plan de la Patria (Homeland Plan) 2019-2025 that I delivered yesterday in the National Constituent Assembly with the presence of national authorities, ambassadors of the world and the people of Venezuela”, said the head of state.
The 2019-2025 Homeland Plan contemplates the strengthening of military power in Venezuela, so this month will begin the strategic acceleration of the military corps, as ordered by the Venezuelan president on Thursday, January 10:
“I have given the order (…) for us to make the first integral civic-military operations of national defense (…), the entire Armed Forces deployed defending the territory, united with the people defending our country”, he said.
He added that the exercises will be held between next February 10 and 15, and coincide with the celebrations for the Bicentennial of the Angostura Congress, where the country’s first Constitution was created.
