Venezuela proposed a seat of the 25th edition of the Sao Paulo Forum

The proposal was presented by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela. The vice president for International Affairs of this political organization, Adán Chávez, said that although the request is under study “it is practically a fact” that it will take place in the country.

“We are waiting for this working group to formalize the decision to hold the 25yh edition of the Sao Paulo Forum in Venezuela”, told the socialist leader in a news conference on Thursday from Caracas.

He also said that from now on they will begin preparations to receive, next year, the different progressive and left-wing delegations of Latin America and the Caribbean, ensuring that “participation in quantity and quality will be greater”.

Chávez concluded his speech by noting that the Sao Paulo Forum is a sample of the fighting disposition of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, and “each year continues to grow in quality and quantity”.
