The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assumed the Presidential candidacy of the revolutionary forces for the 2019-2025 period.
“From this patio of dreams I say to you, I will not fail you, I assume the Presidential candidacy for the 2019-2025 period, and I swear before you working brothers that I will be the candidate of the Venezuelan working class and I will continue to be the President of the humble ones, of the workers, of youth, of those who truly love the Homeland, of those who want the future.
Within the framework of the National Assembly for the Transport sector, held at the workshop yard of the Caracas Metro System, the Head of State said that Venezuela has an enriching history but a much better future to build in Revolution.
President Maduro expressed his confidence in the people throughout the country to achieve a decisive victory in the presidential elections.
“I ask our Jesus to bathe with his benefactor blood to the entire Venezuelan Homeland, because Christ is with us; today he comes with us in the streets, and I want to summon Venezuela to have faith in itself, to the union with the Homeland”, he said.
The national leader reiterated that he will always fight for the interests and benefits of the people of Venezuela.
“I will never betray you, I will never surrender, I will never give up my Homeland. I am ready to continue being the President of a brave people, of a beautiful people, and to go to renew the hope with the Homeland Plan that is being born (…) to govern obeying the people” , he sentenced.
