Bolivarian Mayors of Venezuela spoke in support of peace and the ANC

Jorge Rodríguez, mayor of the Libertador municipality, on behalf of the Bolivarian Association of Mayors of Venezuela, read a statement to support the Bolivarian Government and the current election of the National Constituent Assembly.

He explained that since the beginning of President Maduro’s administration, he invited all sectors to a national dialogue “in the broadest way, and gave the necessary and sufficient guarantees for the sectors to attend to the call.”

He said that despite the constant calls to maintain the growth, development and peace necessary for the nation, the opposition “has mocked the “honest and sincere dialogue”.

“The Bolivarian Association of Mayors of Venezuela acknowledges and reiterates the call made by President Maduro to the broadest and most democratic meeting possible for a people”, he said.

Rodríguez said that the Association puts the mayors to order before the National Constituent Assembly that will be installed in the next few hours so that it focus efforts in unison for the meeting of Venezuelans.

Likewise, the communiqué rejects the interventionist actions of hostile governments and the actions of the imperial government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its officials.
