On Wednesday, members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) are gathered around the Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) in Caracas to denounce the fraud that political parties belonging to the self-called Democratic Unity Board (MUD) committed during the collection of signatures to trigger a presidential referendum.
During the activity, the Deputy by the Homeland Bloc to the National Assembly (AN), Tania Diaz, recalled that were found more than 10,000 signatures of dead people for an application in which did not even signed a 50% of the opposition deputies who are the majority in Parliament.
She said that this shows the lack of organization of the MUD which only seeks, by any means, to oust President Nicolas Maduro.
In a broadcast by Venezolana de Television, the deputy affirmed that to defend the social gains of these destabilizing sectors, the revolutionary forces will remain mobilized.
«Here we’re staying. we the true Chavistas, usChavistas that have Chavez in our hearts, we do not need any calling», said the deputy.
For his part, the also deputy of the Homeland block, Victor Clark, said the mobilizations will continue across the country to show the world that the Chavista forces are active and on the streets.
Regarding the 17th Summit of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (NAM), which will run until September 18 in Nueva Esparta state, Clark stressed that the country welcomes the nations of the world that reaffirm their commitment in defense of peace and independence.
«When they meet the laws, when they comply with the Constitution, then we’ll talk again about a referendum. Meanwhile, we will continue on the streets, mobilized, demanding justice for there to be peace», said the deputy.
During the process of collecting signatures of the MUD the following irregularities were found: 9.333 nonexistent identity card numbers; more than 3,000 ballots of underage citizens, more than 10,000 dead people signing and 1,335 who are politically disabled, suggesting, as said on Tuesday the member of the national leadership of the PSUV, Jorge Rodriguez, that the MUD used old databases to bulk the number of signatures.
