Bolivarian Government will partake in new round of dialogue for peace

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, accepted an invitation on Tuesday from the former President of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, and the Government of the Dominican Republic for a new round of dialogue for peace.

“They know very well that I have been the promoter of this dialogue, and I accept this new journey of dialogue”, he said in the Council of Ministers held from Miraflores Palace.

To this end, the National President appointed Jorge Rodríguez as the representative of the Bolivarian Government to continue the dialogue efforts.

“I think it is very important for dialogue to be resumed with a new impetus. I believe in the word and dialogue as an exercise of truth, and because I believe in politics as the exercise of the word, of the idea, of action, of democracy, of the sovereignty of citizens, I believe that only dialogue is the way to address differences and lead a country, I believe in dialogue”, he said.

He welcomed the initiative of former President Zapatero and the Government of the Dominican Republic, to whom he expressed his entire commitment “To make things go well and advance”.
