The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, announced this Monday that the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office was requested to collaborate to investigate the complaint made by a paramilitary group, contacted by the Venezuelan extreme right ing to attack the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
He indicated that they made a written request to the New Granadean Attorney General, Luz Adriana Camargo, to allow the participation of the Public Ministry (MP) in the investigation that may be carried out in the neighboring country and to interview the alleged witnesses.
Furthermore, he explained that they have had contacts in Colombia who have provided related information to specify in the next few hours the names of the people from the extreme right ing who contacted them:
“I hope that the Attorney General’s Office of Colombia allows our officials to move to Colombia to jointly develop, within the framework of International Criminal Cooperation, the clarification of this disastrous fact that has the unanimous repudiation of the whole Venezuela,” he said.
