President Maduro urges the FANB to participate in the Constitutional process


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, calls on all components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to join the Constitutional process, to strengthen its link with the Venezuelan people.

“We have to do everything we can to strengthen each of the four (military) components. To study the profiles and mandates of the civilian-miliar union”, said the Head of State at the closing of the Expo Venezuela Sovereign Production.

The president made a new call to all Venezuelans to join the Constituent process.

“Let’s make the National Constituent Assembly a space of shared solutions,” he emphasized.

On May 1, the Head of State convened a National Constituent Assembly, in the exercise of his constitutional powers, in which he invited all sectors to dialogue and to raise proposals.

He proposed nine programmatic lines: National peace, the improvement of the economic system, the constitutionalization of social missions, the strengthening of the justice system, the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking; The new forms of participative and protagonist democracy; The defense of sovereignty, the integrity of the nation and the rejection of interventionism; The pluri-cultural character of the country; The guarantee of the future and the preservation of life on the planet.

The Presidential Commission for the ANC has held meetings with different sectors of the country to explain the scope of this process.

Have participated in these meetings: rectors of public and private universities, indigenous people, seniors, diplomatic corps, workers, communes, cultists, intellectuals, students, women, representatives of political parties, religious sectors, among others.
