Venezuela has shipped a total of 107.4 million barrels of crude oil to the United States during 2026 —up to the week ending September 4— according to figures from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Records show that the volume reached so far this year exceeds the total recorded in 2025 by 110%, reflecting the increase in Venezuelan shipments to the US market, according to what reports the national media.
During the first 35 weeks of 2026, average exports stood at 437,000 barrels per day, whereas the figure for the same period last year was 216% lower. For the week ending September 4, shipments reached 599,000 barrels per day.
Venezuela also remained for 20 consecutive weeks as the second-largest crude oil supplier to the United States, according to the figures regarding the oil imports of that country.
Considering the average of the latest the four weeks, Venezuelan shipments stood at 647,000 barrels per day, despite registering a 5% decrease compared to the previous period.
