The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the President of the Republic of Paraguay, Santiago Peña Palacios, led this Saturday the signing of a joint communiqué marking the beginning of a new phase of relations.
The signing of this historic document was carried out by the Chancellors of both South American nations—Félix Plasencia for Venezuela and Rubén Ramírez for Paraguay—at Miraflores Palace, with which was established a commitment based on mutual respect, self-determination, and sovereignty.
The Paraguayan dignitary arrived in the country on Saturday afternoon to hold a work meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, aiming to strengthen ties of cooperation, foster a frank, open, and respectful dialogue, and create opportunities for engagement between productive and commercial sectors to drive opportunities of mutual interest.
