The President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held last Friday a meeting to review the bilateral energy agenda with an official delegation from the United States government.
The meeting counted with the presence of Toby Deen, Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. National Energy Dominance Council (NEDC), and Andrew Rapp, Acting Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires in Venezuela, John Barrett.
On behalf of the Venezuelan government were the Vice President for Economic Affairs, Calixto Ortega; the Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao; the President of PDVSA, Héctor Obregón; the Executive Vice President of the state-owned oil company, Jovanny Martínez; and the Vice Minister for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco.
This meeting takes place within the framework of the reestablishment of bilateral diplomatic and consular relations formalized last March 5, under the principles of peace diplomacy, constructive dialogue, and mutual recognition as sovereign states.
During the meeting, the authorities addressed key issues related to the energy sector, based on the principles of Peace Diplomacy. Likewise, Venezuela points to the shared development of the Peoples and the stability of the market as a secure, stable, and reliable supplier.
