Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago agree to cooperate to boost timber industry

Industry Ministers from Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago, Juan Arias and Paula Gopee-Scoon agreed to establish mechanisms to boost the timber industry in both nations.
The Venezuelan company “Maderas del Orinoco” plans to generate more than 132,000 cubic meters of sawn timber by 2019, which will close trade agreements with several countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, said on Monday Minister Arias in his program “Produciendo Venceremos” (We will overcome by producing), broadcast by Radio Miraflores.
“There are possibilities of exporting logs, chips and other materials and resources, and from here to there is also the possibility of importing some very important products so that we will strengthen commercial trade, friendship and solidarity with the people of Trinidad and Tobago, “he said.
