President Maduro met with Secretary of OPEC


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro met, -this Tuesday- with the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mohammad Senusi Barkindo, in the occasion of the participation of both of them in the 23rd World Energy Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey.
The meeting comes two weeks after the Ministers commited to limit oil production at 32. 5 million barrels per day, against the current pumping which is set at 33 million barrels per day.
The energy conference organized this week by the President of Turkey and the World Energy Council, will focus on the “energy transition” into new consumption patterns, with a lower demand growth and a greater presence of renewables.
Regarding this meeting, for next the October 12 is expected the meeting of Ministers of oil producing OPEC members countries, and those who are outside this energy forum.
In upcoming November a new meeting of OPEC member ministers is expected, where important decisions are expected to be taken.
