The People’s Power Minister of Petroleum and Chairman of Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), Eulogio Del Pino, confirmed that he will participate in the informal meeting of member and non-member producer countries of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which is scheduled for October 12 in Istanbul, Turkey.
At the meeting, which will take place in parallel to the celebration of the 23th World Energy Congress, will participate the ministers of Algeria, Nouderine Bouterfa; of Gabon, Etienne ngoubou; of Qatar, Mohammed Al Sada; of Saudi Arabia, Khalid al-Falih; of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail Al Mazrouei and of Russia, Alexander Novak.
The meeting will serve to discuss the implementation of the production freezing agreed between OPEC countries in Algeria last September, and thus advance in talks regarding the incorporating of non-OPEC producers to the decision.
