The recent imposition of sanctions by the United States Government on the Chevron company has generated a negative impact on the communication channel established between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the US administration.

This decision truncated the return schedule for Venezuelan migrants who suffer abuse and persecution in North American lands, said President Nicolás Maduro.

During his speech at the Great March for International Women’s Day, the President stressed the importance of open communications, regretting the consequences of the sanctions on the Return to the Homeland Plan, which has allowed the return of Venezuelans in adverse situations:

«With this measure, they have damaged the communications opened with the US, and that affects those who only seek a better future,» he said.

The Head of State condemned the persecution suffered by migrants, highlighting the urgent need to stop these attacks:

Migrants deserve human respect. Their rights must be guaranteed,” he denounced. This manifestation of solidarity towards Venezuelans abroad resonates with the global fight for human rights, an issue that continues to be ignored by certain administrations.

In addition, the President pointed out the complicity of the US administration in covering up the corruption of the fugitive Juan Guaidó and his close circle:

They have hidden the evidence of their corruption, while trying to resurrect a failed model,” he declared.

Faced with this situation, the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to peace and national unity, challenging the continued attacks, both internal and external: “Neither the first one nor the second one, nor the fascist Maria Corina Machado will be able to defeat us. Peace and unity will triumph above all.”

Venezuela remains steadfast in its search for peaceful solutions that protect each of its citizens, in a context where dignity and human rights must prevail.
