President Nicolás Maduro warns of escalation of attacks against public services

President Nicolás Maduro urged the security and intelligence bodies, as well as the Venezuelan people, to “remain standing and alert” to ensure the full functioning of public services in the face of the escalation of attacks against the electricity and financial sector.

He pointed out that the sabotage maneuvers are a strategy of extremist sectors in view of the proximity of the mega elections, scheduled for Sunday, November 21:

They (the opposition) are used to playing dirty, to damaging and then appearing in the campaign the next day talking about the lack of efficiency of the Government. Their campaign is a campaign based on their foul play, and it must be denounced”, he stressed.

He also denounced that: “There is a target and they are going to look for it by way of the electricity”, a palpable action reflected in the attack on the electrical system that occurred on Saturday, September 25 in Maracaibo, Zulia state, where “we quickly made the connections and reestablished the service”. in the affected areas.

Days before, on September 21, the Head of State asserted that the acting of the extreme right wing “is not a campaign, but a war against the people” which intensifies with the proximity of an electoral process.
