CNE: Electoral campaign develops satisfactorily

The vice president of the National Electoral Council, Sandra Oblitas, reported on Wednesday that four days after the start of the electoral campaign for the elections on May 20, proselytizing activities are developing satisfactorily.

In statements to the press broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, she indicated that all the standards established by the Electoral Power for this campaign have been satisfactorily fulfilled.

Regarding the compliance with electoral regulations during the campaign that began on Sunday, April 22, Oblitas recalled that 314 prosecutors were deployed nationwide to supervise the full monitoring of the established regulations. In that sense, she urged the candidates «to maintain a consonant behavior, at the level of the Venezuelan people and within the framework of full respect for their contenders».

Oblitas stressed that everything concerning the electoral processes is the exclusive competence of the CNE, therefore, in the event of any doubt about the process, they should address this body.
