President Maduro: “It is totally correct to qualify the president of Guyana as the Caribbean Zelensky”

President Nicolás Maduro qualified Irfaan Ali, president of Guyana, as the Zelensky of the Caribbean.

The Venezuelan Head of State asked “Mr. Irfaan” to “rectify immediately and stop provoking Venezuela, stop violating international laws, sit down and talk face to face with me,” he urged.

The fact is that the Essequibo was not given to us by an empire, we conquered it with the liberating sword of Bolívar,” said Maduro, adding that the president of Guyana “would go down in history stained with blood if he dares to act against Venezuela.”

He ratified Venezuela’s intention to maintain the dispute through diplomatic channels: “We will handle this case with Bolivarian diplomacy of peace, and with firmness.”

The head of state recalled that Essequibo is recognized as Venezuelan territory “since the time of the Captaincy General in 1777.”

He warned that “no country will dare to support Guayana in its war plan” because it would be “sinking the peace of the continent.”

It cannot be used in an illegal, abusive manner, or disregarding international law and the right of Venezuela over a sea that is yet to be delimited,” he pointed out.
