Caracas, March 05, 2025. The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, recalled this Wednesday the 12 years of the physical departure of Commander Hugo Chávez, a «shocking» moment for Venezuelans:
«It is 12 years since that shocking blow, perhaps the strongest, since the death of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, that the Venezuelan people, the Great Homeland and the world received, the physical departure of our Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez,» wrote the national leader on social networks.
In addition, in the message that was accompanied by an audiovisual, the head of State stated that “this terrible pain of those hours, days and years» was converted «into love, strength, courage and bravery, we united firmly to overcome, raise our heads towards the horizon and continue the march with the conviction that we are on the right side of history, building the Bolivarian project.»
He also stressed that «Chávez was planted in the conscience, the mind and the pure soul. We have not failed him, and we will never fail him. May his memory and his legacy live forever!»

Likewise, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that the spirit of Commander Chávez «continues to guide today more than ever the path of the Bolivarian Revolution.»
“Twelve years after our Commander’s planting, his spirit continues to guide the Bolivarian Revolution. His voice resounds in every struggle, in every victory of the people who do not surrender to imperialist aggression”, said Cabello through his Instagram account.
He stressed that the commitment of the revolutionaries to the Bolivarian Project is intact and that they work hard every day following the legacy of the Commander to consolidate it.
