Latin America and the Caribbean demand the lifting of sanctions imposed on Venezuela

Within the context of the Palenque Meeting: For a fraternal and well-being neighborhood, which was held in Mexico, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, thanked this Sunday for the determined support of leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean who – loudly – demanded the absolute lifting of unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela.

From the Visitor Assistance Center, located in the state of Chiapas, he reiterated: “We have received the full support of the present rulers”, an action that adds to the acknowledgment received for the relaxation of sanctions against the oil, gas and gold industries, announced last Thursday by the United States Treasury Department.

On the other hand, when pointing out the main causes of the migration phenomenon in Venezuela, the head of state emphasized that the economic, commercial and financial restrictions, which exceed 930 sanctions, significantly impacted the deterioration of the nation’s economic body.

The president reiterated his call for the full lifting of sanctions “without blackmail,” while warning that, without restrictions that affect its effective development, Venezuela could reverse the causes of induced migration in less than a year.
