Aristóbulo Istúriz: Venezuela's priority is technological sovereignty


During the Meeting of Scientific Seedbeds, held at the Science Museum, Caracas, where more than 200 children met, the Minister for Education, Aristóbulo Istúriz, who led the activity, said that Venezuela has technological sovereignty as a priority:
«Venezuela has as a priority the technological sovereignty and to create a new economic model. We are currently forced to undertake a great effort in detecting boys who have a scientific vocation and create spaces to contribute to the development of their training and, the main challenge is to stimulate the teachers”, said the minister, quoted by the Ministry of Education in a press release.
Istúriz stressed that the important one is to create with this meeting, a way that allows not only to detect talents in boys with a scientific vocation, but to create spaces for scientific development.
He also spoke of the duty to stimulate young people and children who are in training, depending on the development of knowledge.
The purpose of the meeting was to bring Venezuelans closer to learning and to be able to detect future talents in the scientific field.
The National Government approved on Thursday 650,790,321 bolivars for the development of the Scientific Seedbeds project.
