The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) this Thursday to make respect Venezuela from the groups that generate violence, on the occasion of the first Escudo Bolivariano (Bolivarian Shield) 2025 exercises that began last Wednesday and continued this Thursday throughout the country.
Through his social networks, the president indicated that it will soon be 10 years since the military exercises began. In his words, “they aim to defend our right to live, to exist, to peace” and the “full sovereignty” of the country:
“Our entire FANB is already deployed from north to south, from east to west, by land, air and sea. To make respect Venezuela from the groups that generate violence,” stressed Maduro.
He also pointed out that there is a country capable of saying “we are at peace”: “Those who join the dirty campaigns against the name of our country are to blame. If you want sovereignty and independence, be prepared to build and defend it,” he added.
On Wednesday morning, Maduro inaugurated the first military and police exercise “Escudo Bolivariano 2025,” from the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard, in Fort Tiuna, Caracas.
The Venezuelan president assured that the purpose of these exercises is “to maximize the defense of aerospace, maritime and land spaces against both internal and external threats that could compromise the sovereignty of the country.”
“Today we are going to deploy the most complete exercises that have ever been carried out in Venezuela,” said Maduro, stressing that the aim is “to guarantee the full sovereignty and peace of the country.”
Maduro said that these exercises not only involve the Armed Forces, but also citizens, who are considered “a fundamental part in the integral defense of the homeland.»
