Venezuela will become the Megapower of food-producing

Schools, high schools, and universities must be linked to productive action and the knowledge of the «school and community gardens» in order to become a food-producing megapower, asserted the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

In a message on his social media, the head of state emphasized that «Venezuela must become a food-producing megapower. We will achieve it!» he exclaimed. In an audiovisual material accompanying the message, he describes that there is a «generation that is rising up» and also emphasizes that Venezuela is committed to having “an open agricultural frontier.»

He asserted that Venezuela is today «sowing for tomorrow.» These actions complement the works and modalities of the Bolivarian Government’s strategy to defend the national economy against the global threat posed by the United States.

On April 10, the National Assembly (AN) approved the Decree on a State of Economic Emergency, issued by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in accordance with Article 111 of the Parliament’s Internal Regulations and Rules of Procedure. The decree seeks to establish strategic measures to strengthen the national economy and confront the external pressures imposed by Donald Trump with the tariff war.
