Communiqué
Today, Friday, April 11, we denounce that our National Electric System has suffered a new terrorist and fascist attack. However, the situation was addressed and the system was immediately restored.
At this time, we inform to the entire country that have been arrested three (03) individuals, identified as the perpetrators of this event. Everything points to extremist sectors of the Venezuelan right wing who want to disrupt our people’s Holy Week holiday.
In response, the teams from our National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) and the Ministry of People’s Power for Electric Energy (MPPEE) focused on resolving this attack, and in record time we have managed to restore electricity to our people.
Likewise, was established communication with the Ministry of People’s Power for Interior Affairs, Justice, and Peace in order to activate all citizen security agencies to immediately begin a thorough investigation into the event.
From the Ministry of People’s Power for Electric Energy, we reiterate to this group of terrorists: You were not able to, nor you will! We are determined to be free and independent under the leadership of our President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
