Venezuela counts on its people in militia to maintain its security and independence

This Monday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized the historical significance of the Bolivarian National Militia during the commemoration of the 16th anniversary of its creation. In a moving speech, he recalled the fundamental role the militia plays as the military power of the people and the Homeland, consolidating itself as the fifth component of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

He said that the Bolivarian Revolution is constitutionalist, peaceful, electoral, legalistic, and of a new independence. Therefore, he declared that «Let nobody be mistaken, because this is a Revolution that is not armed; it is a Revolution that relies on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).»

He also urged the Venezuelan people, all leaders, street leaders, community leaders, Communal Circuits, communes, social movements, and political parties to reunify and unite all forces.

In this regard, he stated: «Our father brought the revolutionary force to the 21st century, our father who remains present in us, our Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.» Therefore, he urged to maintain nerves of steel, maximum cohesion, and mobilization.

Moreover, the National Leader emphasized that the revolutionary government remains in constant work on all fronts, including the economy, public services, permanent security, social, political, scientific, educational, ecological, and geopolitical fronts, among others, “despite the madness that comes from the empire.»

Always with God, under any circumstance, we shall always overcome. Union, union, and more union! For the victory on May 25th,” the Bolivarian leader expressed.

12 Years of Loyalty:

On the 16th anniversary of the Bolivarian National Militia, these combatant men and women also celebrate, together with the Venezuelan people, 12 years since the victory of Venezuela’s first Chavista president: Nicolás Maduro Moros.

Maduro Moros, in 2013, faced off in an election that gave him victory with 50.61% of the vote, over his main immediate opponent.

This Monday, President Maduro thanked the Bolivarian people through his official channel on Telegram.

He wrote: “To the generous and conscientious people who honored Commander Chávez.”

He also recalled that throughout these years he has been loyal: «Loyal to my oath to preserve the peace of Venezuela. In the face of every battle, assault, and attack, we have emerged victorious, stronger, and more committed to our mission of guaranteeing the highest, supreme happiness.»
