The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in an emotional message celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus and highlighted the importance of family unity at this time, after stating that “nothing and no one takes away our right to celebrate in peace.”
“Baby Jesus was born! Jesus of Nazareth, son of Mary and Joseph, who was born in historic Palestine to bring us the good news of freedom and happiness to the people,” he said.
The head of state emphasized that Christmas is a special time, not only to embrace and enjoy with family, but also time to renew faith: “The best gift we have been able to receive, embraced by family, surrounded by the joy of our sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters, and with renewed faith because we have his blessing and protection.”
In this sense, he reiterated that Venezuela is a people who are at peace, which is an inalienable right that cannot be taken away: “Let nothing and no one take away our right to celebrate in peace!”
At the same time, President Maduro said: “What a joy to see how peace is breathed in Venezuela with the arrival of Baby Jesus among mangers, parties, happiness and gratitude, enjoying the union of our people… Merry Christmas, full of joy, love and hope.”
