More than 2,000 Houses of Peace will strengthen community justice in Mission Bases

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Minister of People’s Power for Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, for the construction of Mission Base Modules in various points of the national territory.

This initiative is part of the joint effort with the Ministry of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, seeking to provide Justices of the Peace with adequate spaces to carry out their work.

The proposal contemplates the combination of existing premises with new modules, which will allow for agile progress in the creation of 2,369 mission bases. These spaces will not only be conflict resolution centers, but will also represent a milestone in the promotion of citizen participation and inclusive justice.

The Head of State emphasizes the importance of establishing an operating model designed exclusively for Justices of the Peace, who play a crucial role in mediation and promoting peace in vulnerable communities.

The construction of these special modules, called “Houses of Peace” by the President, seeks to offer an environment conducive to coexistence and the peaceful resolution of disputes.

President Maduro stressed that last Sunday, December 15, of the total number of elected communal Justices of the Peace, 55% are men and 45% women.

This action confirms the government’s commitment to a justice system closer to citizens, which strengthens community ties and popular organization in the country.
