China and Venezuela evaluate creation of thought and higher education centers

The former director of the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS – ILAS), Wu Baiyi, held a meeting this Monday with the vice minister for Asia, Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh. The professor from the Asian giant visited Venezuela to hold meetings with representatives of the Latin American Economic System (SELA) and conduct field studies in the Venezuelan nation.

The Chinese academic stated that he was able to verify the falsity of the opinion matrices on Venezuela and that, on the contrary, he visited a safe country destined for development. At the meeting, Baiyi explained the scope of the CASS-ILAS as a thought center.

He emphasized the importance of creating this type of institutes in Venezuela, expressing his willingness to contribute to the expansion of academic cooperation and thought centers between China and Venezuela. Both sides agreed that Latin American think tanks are currently right-wing in orientation, which is why the creation of independent and sovereign studies centers is needed.

The Chinese professor said that academic and thought center cooperation can be reciprocal in nature, where the Venezuelan side learns more about China and the Asian continent, and the Chinese side can learn more about the truth of Venezuela.
