The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, shared a statement on his Telegram channel, where the Venezuelan State “categorically rejects the presentation, before the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization (UN), of the vulgar and pamphletary report, written by an illegitimate, politicized and ideologized mission, created by the cartel of governments of the failed Lima Group.»
The statement indicates that the only objective of this report is to comply with orders issued from Washington, to apply the US policy of «regime change» against the legitimate government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela:
“The persistence of this shameful mission is a clear example of the erratic drift that the institutions of the United Nations System are taking, increasingly losing sight of their functions, turning them into instruments of coercion and blackmail of sovereign peoples and governments,” reads part of the letter.
It should be noted that Venezuela has denounced before the UN Human Rights Council and its High Commissioner, with sufficient evidence, the assassination attempts against high-ranking officials of the country, which include the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, as indicated in the document published by Gil on the aforementioned digital platform.
It also denounces how the report presented by the illegitimate mission “attempts to turn the victims of fascism and the Venezuelan extremist right wing into victimizers, ignoring the actions of the so-called ‘little commandos of terror’ who murdered 27 Venezuelans and caused damage to [public] facilities.”
