COMMUNICATION FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE ELECTORAL POWER AND PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COUNCIL OF THE BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA

In my capacity as President of the Electoral Power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and President of the National Electoral Council, one of the five Powers of the Venezuelan State, I categorically rejected the claims of the European Union to coerce me as well as the Electoral Power trying to appear before the international public opinion that are proceeding to lift the coercive and unilateral sanctions imposed on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The world is aware that the sanctions imposed on our worthy people have caused serious and irreparable damage to children, young people, adults and the elderly; thousands of them have died due to the imposed blockade that has prevented access to medicines for cancer patients, diabetics, among other pathologies. As well as, they have prevented the acquisition of vaccines and medical equipment to guarantee the lives of said patients.

Now, as President of the Electoral Branch of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and President of the National Electoral Council, I urge the European Union and other countries, such as the United States of America and the United Kingdom, to proceed with the lifting of all sanctions coercive, unilateral and genocidal measures imposed against the worthy Venezuelan people that affect their human rights and that the persecution against businessmen who are making an important effort to guarantee, together with the Venezuelan State, medicines and food for the well-being of the inhabitants of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The announcement made today, Monday, May 13, in which the lifting of sanctions that have been imposed on me is announced, I do not accept them because they are immoral and contrary to my citizen values, that decision of the European Union of Lifting the sanction only for me is contrary to the duty that as a Venezuelan I have to honor and defend the country, its symbols and values; safeguard and protect the sovereignty, nationality, territorial integrity, self-determination and interests of the Nation, in accordance with the provisions of article 130 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it would be unworthy and disloyal to accept this boon from the European Union only for me and leave the 30 million Venezuelans affected by the sanctions and blockades imposed by the European Union and other small groups of countries that are enemies of our Nation when the correct thing is to lift all the sanctions imposed on the Venezuelan People.

The European Union persists in its neocolonial practices, without applying any correction to its mistaken interventionism against Venezuela, with a clumsy maneuver with which it seeks to avoid the growing international rejection of the application of these extortionary measures, which harm the human rights of the peoples and the sovereignty of nations.

The International Community is aware of the incalculable Patrimonial damage that has been caused to the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, consequently affecting their human rights, the Nation has been subject to the indiscriminate theft of companies, gold reserves, among others, with the complicity and the silence of various international organizations.

As President of the Electoral Power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and President of the National Electoral Council, I demand the integral and unconditional cessation of the unilateral coercive measures of the European Union, as well as any other blackmail mechanism that seeks to interfere in free and sovereign development. of the Venezuelan political process.

Finally, I confirm that as long as the European Union persists in its policy of hostility against our country, it will be impossible to establish a sincere, respectful and productive dialogue with the Venezuelan Electoral Power, which is considered one of the best Electoral Systems in the world.”
