CNE will publish this Monday list of candidates for DEC-6 elections

This Monday, September 28, the list of candidates who will participate in the parliamentary elections on December 6 will be published on the website of the National Electoral Council (CNE).

This was reported on Saturday by the president of the CNE, Indira Alfonzo, during a balance of the development of the Electoral Schedule, in which she highlighted that on September 18 culminated the stage of visible modifications in the electoral ballot of the Automated Nomination System.

In her statements, Alfonzo stated that 90 percent of the country’s political organizations are qualified to participate in the electoral process on December 6: “they have presented their options, which will be able to be consulted from Monday on the web portal of our CNE”.

Regarding the Community Assemblies, the president of the electoral body highlighted that they are part of the schedule of the elections for indigenous representatives, which have concluded satisfactorily in more than 3,000 communities where there are representations of indigenous peoples at a national level.

Regarding what the electoral campaign will be, she stated that the variant of the COVID-19 pandemic represents a condition for activities that involve crowds of people, “but we also know how to overcome these situations, guaranteeing the right to life and guaranteeing the political right to vote and participate, making conditions of equity, of balance in participation in all communication and telematic platforms to which will be had access”.
