Mission Popular Rhythm, Song and Dance will enhance the cultural identity of Venezuela

Based on a proposal made by musicians Iván Pérez Rossi and Francisco Pacheco, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the structuring of the Mission Popular Rhythm, Song and Dance to enhance the Venezuelan cultural identity.

The proposal for the creation of the Great Mission Popular Rhythm, Song and Dance will be in charge of the vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, and the Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, who will draw up the strategy that allows “the relaunch, strengthening and positioning of rhythms, songs and poetry.”

“Rhythm, Song and Popular Dance, a powerful mission for you (Venezuelan cultors) to be the protagonists,” he emphasized from La Casona Cultural “Aquiles Nazoa”, located in Miranda state.

Noting that, in their critical contributions, Pérez Rossi and Pacheco stated that “our rhythms and songs are not heard, they set up stages here and there, and our songs are not heard,” the head of state reiterated that it is necessary to strengthen the values cultural in “each school, each community, rhythm by rhythm, song by song.”

“We have to relaunch our rhythms, our songs, our dances because dance, singing and rhythm are worth more than all the songs and rhythms in the world, they should be the ones that move the boys and girls, the youth, what moves identity,” he pointed out.
