Parlatino-Venezuela rejects imposition of unilateral coercive measures against the Russian Federation

The Venezuelan Parliamentary Group of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (GPVPL), expressed its solidarity with the people of the Russian Federation and its government, in the face of the conflict with Ukraine promoted by NATO.

During a Special Plenary Session held this Tuesday with the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, the deputies of Parlatino-Venezuela formally delivered on March 31 the Agreement No. 2022-001, approved by the plenary, in which is expressed the repudiation of the irresponsible handling that large transnational media corporations have given to the NATO-Russian Federation conflict.

Deputies Ángel Rodríguez and Iris Varela, president and vice-president of the Venezuelan Parliamentary Group before the Parlatino respectively, presented before the diplomatic representative of the Russian Federation the document in which Venezuela’s feeling of solidarity is expressed in the face of the war unleashed already for two months.

The Venezuelan parliamentarians join the entire international community that hopefully awaits a prompt diplomatic solution and mutual understanding between the parties to the conflict, in accordance with the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
