On the eve of the consultative referendum scheduled for Sunday, December 3, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called on the public and private business sector to actively participate in the defense of the historical, political and legal rights of Venezuela over Guayana Esequiba.
Regarding the session of the National Council of Productive Economy, which took place at Miraflores Palace in Caracas, he urged the business community “to put our signature, put our mark on the history of Venezuela and actively participate in the elections of the consultative referendum”.
“I invite you with a patriotic spirit, in national unity, in consensus,” emphasized the head of state in line with the statement he made earlier through his account on the X social network, @NicolasMaduro, where he stressed that “the nationalist and committed business community takes the lead” in the cause of Venezuela’s right over the Essequibo.
Precisely, during the National Conference for Dialogue, Peace and Coexistence, held on October 26, the business sector expressed its support for the active and leading defense of Venezuela’s rights over the Essequibo, as part of its claim to the agreements signed between the National Government and the oppositions gathered in the Unitary Platform.
