The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called on educational communities, schools, colleges, high schools and universities, to become “centers of historical knowledge”, where the defense of the Essequibo territory is debated, in order to educate the boys, girls and young people on this historical topic:
“I tell the teachers, professors, families, fathers, mothers, representatives, to everyone: It is time to convert the schools, colleges, high schools and universities into centers of historical knowledge, to defend our complete map,” said the President during the “Con Maduro+” program.
In this regard, he insisted on that the electoral campaign must be pedagogical and informative, allowing for debate on the 5 questions on the consultative referendum on December 3:
“We must all know more about our homeland, our history, and that is the job (…) the electoral campaign has to be pedagogical, (one) that raises awareness, that rediscovers the deep Venezuela and that raises a possible hope,” he urged.
