Venezuela confirms 390 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths in 24 hours

This Wednesday the Venezuelan health authorities reported 390 new Covid-19 cases, in addition to (4) new deaths, 366 of the cases are due to community contact; and 24 are imported, as detailed the sectoral vice president for Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, from the Presidential Commission for the Containment and Prevention of Covid-19.

Rodríguez added that 150 of the nationals are from Miranda state, 101 from Caracas, 66 from La Guaira, 14 from Táchira, (9) Aragua (8) Anzoátegui (6) Bolívar (6) Cojedes (3) Monagas (2) Yaracuy states, and (1) in Apure.

Regarding the imported ones, he indicated that 21 are coming from Colombia and (3) from Peru, who entered through the border crossings with neighboring nations.

On the other hand, he listed the cases reported in Miranda state, as follows, 61 in the Sucre municipality, 28 in Baruta 13 in Guaicaipuro (7) Lander (7) Los Salias (7) Carrizal (3) Chacao (3) Zamora (1) Plaza (1) Independence (1) El Hatillo (1) Cristóbal Rojas and (1) in the Brión municipality.

Of the new coronavirus cases in the Capital District, he said that are located: 19 in El Valle parish, 11 in Sucre (6) San Juan (6) San Pedro (4) Catedral (4) El Paraíso (4) La Pastora (3) Santa Rosalía ( 3) Car (3) Antímano (2) La Vega (2) 23 de Enero (1) La Candelaria, and (1) in the Santa Teresa parish.

Regarding the deceased, he indicated they are: (1) male from Los Teques in Miranda state, (1) male, from Baruta municipality, also in Miranda state, (1) male from Bolívar state, but residing in Aragua state, and the fourth case is also a male, from Zulia state.

In this regard, he stressed that the number of Covid-19 positive patients stands at 13,164, of which 7,471 have recovered, “that is, a 57% has already overcome the infection”, he said. He regretted that after today’s deaths, Venezuela has 124 fatal victims of the disease.
