By deploying a campaign against the defense of Venezuela’s historical rights over Guayana Esequiba, the Unitary Platform broke the agreement on the Vital Rights of the Nation, signed on October 17 with the National Government in Barbados.
“With the Unitary Platform we signed an agreement to bring them into the fold of democracy, transparency, truth and respect for the Constitution, but they left there and now started a campaign against the consultative referendum (…) Battered right wing, battered extreme right wing that has kicked up the Barbados agreements,” he stated.
From the La Casona Cultural “Aquiles Nazoa”, located in Miranda State, he denounced that the “usual politicians”, financed by the American ExxonMobil oil company, “intend to destroy the right of the people of Venezuela to vote, participate and decide on a vital issue.” for national sovereignty.
“The campaign by the extreme right wing, of the Unitary Platform that violates the Barbados agreements, offends the people of Venezuela and does the work of ExxonMobil because ExxonMobil is moving a lot of money to buy the usual politicians: the (Henrique ) Capriles, to the Leopoldo (López), to the (María Corina) Machado, to the (Henry) Ramos Allup, to the (Antonio) Ledezma, we say enough is enough!”, he stated during a meeting with the Expanded Political High Command of the Revolution.
He emphasized that the Unitary Platform “is incorrigible in their mischief of violence and anti-homeland,” a characteristic that is evidenced by its participation in the campaign against the popular consultation of December 3 that, among other things, tries to implant in Venezuelans the false conception of that “it has no validity before the Guyanese and English authorities because they are dragged before those authorities.”
“Of course it has validity because it is the voice of the people, it is the vote of the people. How is the vote of the people and the voice of the people not going to be valid before our country, before the world? ”He questioned.
With the flyer (distributed by the extreme right wing) on his hands, the head of state explained that they also report that the data – from the consultative referendum – would supposedly be used by Chavismo “to cheat the presidential elections in its favor.” In this sense, he indicated that the actions of the extreme right wing denote fear:
“This is simple fear, compadre, and it is also anti-Patriotic. ‘Do not vote in the referendum’, says in the flyer. And they put the map without Essequibo, this is the propaganda that the Unitary Platform has launched, the same ones of always, enough of that,” he added.
Given this, addressing the Venezuelan people, he urged “to confront the campaigns of traitors to the Homeland” and “to prepare to participate in the electoral campaign and in the consultative elections on December 3.”
