Through the deployment of the Mission Venezuela Bella, 28 campuses of 17 universities in the national territory have been intervened with comprehensive maintenance, rehabilitation and beautification sessions.
The balance was made by the president of Mission Venezuela, Jacqueline Faría, who detailed that, so far, 1,073 classrooms have been recovered, a process that included lighting work, repair of windows, desks and waterproofing of roofs in the context of the Beautiful Universities Plan.
During her intervention in the “Con Maduro+” program, moderated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, she pointed out that 631 bathrooms have also been recovered, as well as common spaces such as libraries, gyms (sports centers), dining rooms and laboratories.
By emphasizing that “there is no state that can say that does not have a university in rehabilitation,” Faría stressed that the rehabilitation sessions have a multidisciplinary team, calling for the participation of State institutions and companies.
In relation to the progress of the Beautiful Universities Plan, the Minister of People’s Power for University Education, Sandra Oblitas, asserted that the comprehensive rehabilitation of spaces will contribute to the quality of academic training, while guaranteeing “the recovery of the pre-specialty, once overcome what has affected us with the pandemic.”
“It comes to serve the entire university population, those who are pursuing their studies and all those victorious youth that join our universities,” she highlighted, pointing out that, this October 2, nearly 2 million students began – progressively – the new academic period.
