COVID: Venezuela registers 608 new infections in the last 24 hours

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Wednesday through the Twitter social network that the figures for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the country amount to a total of 608 new infections, of which 601 cases are of community transmission, and 7 cases are imported.

Delcy Rodríguez also added that Barinas is the state that today registers the highest number of infections with (90) active cases in 8 municipalities; followed by the entities: Capital District (81) and Apure (78).

On the other hand, she also reported that, unfortunately, today Venezuela got a total of 6 Venezuelans who died from the virus: a 90-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man in Táchira state, a 79-year-old woman in Guárico state, a 28-year-old man in Sucre state, a 60-year-old woman in Zulia state ,and a 66-year-old man in Apure state.

She indicated in another tweet from the same informative thread that up to date 80,404 cases of Covid-19 are counted in Venezuela, of which 8,202 are active, 71,531 have recovered (89%), 6,652 are in Hospitals, 1,313 in CDI, 237 in Private Clinics and with the unfortunate figure of 671 deceases.

On the other hand, Delcy Rodríguez highlighted that, the Bolivarian Government, through the MissionVenezuela Bella , remains deployed with the cleaning and disinfection of public spaces.

Meanwhile, she also pointed out that up to date more than 3,200,000 disinfections have been carried out in the country, for the protection and biosecurity of the people.

Finally, she added that following the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro, both the Presidential Commission for the fight against Covid-19, as well as the Scientific Team are working tirelessly to guarantee the early detection of new cases and to prevent the spread of the virus in the national territory.
